Road trip up to Kincolith

This is a picture taken at Lava Lake. The water is incredibly green and I am told that it has something to do with the lava beds that were underneath the lake. Not sure how much truth is in that little story, but I believed it.... We stopped here to have a picnic on the way there.

One of the only times I could get Hailey to sit still long enough to take a picture.

While you are driving towards New Aiyansh you drive past quite a few kilometers of this lava rock. It feels like you are on another planet, all the terrain looks like this on either side of you. It stops just as suddenly as it starts too, you have to see it to believe it.

Here is Grams at a waterfall that we found on our drive up there.
Really random rock that we found. I am guessing that it is located somewhere near "Canyon City"....
This is the little harbour/government boat dock in Kincolith. We took forever trying to find it, and we finally drove down a little dirt road and there it was. Why a government dock is located down a "fairly bumpy" dirt road with no signs giving you directions is beyond me! We tried our luck with some crab fishing but didn't catch anything. Such a beautiful place though, it was a great road trip. So many places we still need to explore up here in Northern BC.
